Set in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, this B&B is as good as gets. We stayed here for four nights and were very pleased with everything - the location, the food, and especially the host, Giovanni. Al Barilotto is on the outskirts of Positano, but it offers a more peaceful view looking down on the coast without all the congestion. The restaurant attached to the B&B serves the best bruschetta we've ever had and they also feature their own Barilotto wines. This family run B&B is sure to please and the price can't be beat. Giovanni is an excellent host and he will jump through hoops for his guests. Also, if you decide to stay here, be sure to take the walk down to La Sirene on Laurito Beach (about 350 steps). Great restaurant that offers free boat rides to the center of Positano. The view is best in late afternoon as the sun starts to fall - looks like something in a postcard

Truly incredible experience. When we travel we like to get know an area and the people, we do not enjoy packing and moving with the herd every three days or so. We stayed for 10 days this past September and completely fell in love with the Amalfi Coast. The perfect blend of nautical and country. Staying just outside of the down town was perfect for us. We loved walking into town and down to Laurito Spiaggia(so cool - 700 feet winding down the cliff into an amazing canyon). Leave the driving to the experienced and do not be afraid to walk. The sites are stunning and you will never forget the tremendous beauty and clean, healthy, relaxed life style of the local residents.

Giovanni was an incredible host. Gracious and kind, made my girlfriend and I's stay incredible. His family was also very nice! Always available and willing to bring us into town, with amazing recommendations. The view was spectacular (see picture) and it was about 10 minutes from the centre of positano so we were able to relax. Breakfast views are absolutely outstanding. Make sure to ask how to get to "Da Adalfo", an INCREDIBLE restaurant Giovanni recommended that was down a good set of stairs to the beach, tucked between two cliffs. Made for a beautiful day and a few incredible meals / drinks. Fairly priced, yet still beautiful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great time in Positano.

This is one of our favourite places to stay on the Amalfi Coast. The hosts, Giovanni, and his sister, Rebecca are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. Rebecca's cooking is second to none, and Giovanni is so kind and welcoming. We drank the wine from the grapes he grew, ate the oranges and olives (best we've ever had) from his garden, and loved the spaghetti Vongole and chocolate cake that Rebecca made. The hosts here make you feel like family and we can't wait to go back! Thank you from David and Christie in London...

We stayed here on our very first trip, very first night in Italy. Not only was the location perfect as it is not in the crazy busy part of town, but the service was like no other we experienced in Italy. Giovanni made us feel special and like family. The breakfast was amazing and the outdoor restaurant was my favorite place to sit and relax before starting my day! Drinks on the front patio each evening before we headed out for dinner was my favorite time. We look forward to more trips to Italy but mostly to spending time at this wonderful hotel again.

Extremely enjoyable vacation. The warm welcome by the owner and his family members was amazing. We felt like visiting a family, not some hotel strangers. If you are for the original Italian and great quality food, this is a place for you. Rooms spacious for Italian standards, very clean. Great balcony sea view. We will have to go back soon.
