Set in the heart of the Amalfi Coast, this B&B is as good as gets. We stayed here for four nights and were very pleased with everything - the location, the food, and especially the host, Giovanni. Al Barilotto is on the outskirts of Positano, but it offers a more peaceful view looking down on the coast without all the congestion. The restaurant attached to the B&B serves the best bruschetta we've ever had and they also feature their own Barilotto wines. This family run B&B is sure to please and the price can't be beat. Giovanni is an excellent host and he will jump through hoops for his guests. Also, if you decide to stay here, be sure to take the walk down to La Sirene on Laurito Beach (about 350 steps). Great restaurant that offers free boat rides to the center of Positano. The view is best in late afternoon as the sun starts to fall - looks like something in a postcard

The property is in a strategic position, close to the beaches, bus stops or landing stages that allow you to easily reach other places on the wonderful coast. The rooms are clean and equipped with every comfort (air conditioning, TV, hairdryer, terrace with table). Breakfast is served by one of the best pastry shops with delicious pastries. Finally, we thank the very nice Messrs. Raimondo and José for making us feel at home. We will definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

Structure "old" yes but very clean, rooms immaculate and fragrant, bathroom disinfected with white towels changed regularly, I have seen even the terraces vacuumed! Excellent quality / price ratio, for those who complain of outdated furniture I recommend going to other structures where you spend double the price! Near the center with small but useful parking. We had a great time!

Hospitality, cleanliness and a strategic point characterize this small family hotel. The very helpful owner made us leave the bike and our luggage without any problems for us to spend the day at the beach, despite our decision to leave the room early. I advise!

Four stars, but not for the usual reasons like lavishness or such, First, Maria, was waiting for us as we got off the bus so that we could easily find the location. And the warmish (see below) welcome did not end there! Check in was a breeze, and our room is so colorful, and nicely. The bed is firm (not at all soft), and very comfy. The bathroom is clean with a short, but invitingly deep tub. The sink is in the bed/ or sleeping chamber. And our request for hot (tea) water, was quickly accommodated. The only "downsides" are (1) temperature ... I'm American, so I could wish the room was warmer; better too hot, than a trifle too cool; (2) our request to add nights could not be honored... and (3) Maria seemed a little more enthusiastic to see my blond, blue eyed husband than me a dark skinned, dark eyed beauty (it was a fleeting , but tangible impression, not imaginary.
